ESD Heel Grounder – Adjustable, Durable Foot Grounding for EPA Workspaces

Bondline’s ESD Heel Grounder (HS5) provides reliable, continuous grounding for personnel working inside an ESD Protected Area (EPA). Designed with a single elasticated heel strap and a hook‑and‑loop (D‑ring) fastening, this heel grounder offers a secure, comfortable fit while ensuring safe dissipation of static electricity when used with grounded ESD flooring or matting. Built for durability and long‑term use, the HS5 is ideal for electronics manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and repair environments. The ESD Heel Grounder has an elasticated back for extra comfort and incorporates a 1 meg ohm safety resistor as standard.

All grounding products are manufactured to the highest quality to ensure high comfort and long life. Heel straps should be worn on both feet for effective static dissipation to ground. We recommend testing the heel straps before every use with a CWST3 footwear test station.

• Consistent Grounding Performance – Provides continuous ESD protection when used with grounded flooring or matting. Recommended to wear on both feet for uninterrupted grounding.
• Customisable – Elastic garter and hook and loop tape’s colours are available upon request.

Specification:

• Construction: Constructed using a strip of two-layered rubber sheet, insulative white and conductive black, attached to 1” elastic garter forming heel cup with one meg ohm metal film resistor joined in series with the conductive tab, assembled with D – ring and hook and loop tape for adjustable feature.
• Black rubber surface conductivity: 8 x 10^(4) ohms.
• White rubber surface conductivity: 1 x 10^(12) ohms.
• Metal film resistor: 1 meg ohm + 20%.
• Conductive tab: 160 ohms / inch (max.)
• Markings: With date code (Killstat).
• Plastic parts: Made of antistatic nylon material.
• Colour: Black, blue and red elastic strips and royal blue conductive tab with silver yarn.
