Description
Premium Textured ESD Bench Matting from Bondline is a highly durable work surface for an ESD sensitive environment. The matting provides excellent static dissipation to ground when connected to Earth via a grounding system. The bench matting has a scratch-resistant surface, protecting the surface of delicate static sensitive components during production.
The matting is made from a durable synthetic rubber material with a textured finish to prevent the sliding of components. The surface of the bench mat is developed with a reflection breaking finish to improve operator comfort and reduce glare. The natural durability of rubber makes this mat very hard-wearing and resistant to chemical agents. The bench matting can be loosely-laid at a workstation without the need for any adhesives. It has two layers: a static-dissipative top layer with a conductive backing, giving a typical resistance to ground of 106-108 ohms. The static-dissipative top layer is resistant to abrasion, heat and solder splash. The material doesn’t melt if in contact with hot metal parts or soldering debris; cheaper PVC based rubber mats are not solder proof. The black conductive bottom layer provides a superior and consistent ground path.
Premium Textured ESD Bench Matting is fully RoHS and REACH compliant and conforms to requirements of EN61340-5-1, BS IEC 61340-5-1, US ESD Associations ANSI S4.1 and S20.20 guidelines, which is the recognised international standard for EPAs. The matting is available to order in rolls or cut-size mats. If you would like a bespoke size or custom studding, please get in touch with our sales team.
For optimum electrical performance, the surface must be regularly cleaned using an ESD safe mat cleaner. We suggest using Staticide mat and table cleaner for best cleaning results. Please note: IPA wipes, normal cleaners, Dettol or general anti-bacterial products are not recommended to be used for cleaning ESD mats.
