Bondline’s static shielding bags are designed to protect static-sensitive electronic components and devices (PCBs) from electrostatic discharge (ESD) during shipping and storage. Anti static shielding bags have 4-layers which comprise of a static dissipative coating, polyester, aluminium shield and static dissipative polyethylene. This creates a faraday cage effect around the product, preventing static charge from entering the bag and damaging its contents. We offer a large variety of sizes in both reclosable and open top options. The static shielding bags are fully compliant with the IEC 61340-5-1 ESD Standard and can be safely used within ESD protected areas.
The purpose of a static shielding bag is to provide a static-safe environment that works both within and outside the ESD Protected Area (EPA). Their use is essential outside the EPA to safeguard ESD-sensitive devices (ESDS) from potential electrostatic discharge damage. Static shield bags provide excellent ESD protection for static-sensitive items like PCBs, ICs, microchips, computer hardware, and other delicate assemblies. ESD static shielding bags are semi-transparent allowing for easy identification of stored items inside the bag. All anti static shielding bags are 75 microns thick and each pack contains 100 pieces.
Our open top static shielding bags are designed with an open top design which allows for easy insertion and removal of static-sensitive electronic components, while keeping strong ESD protection. These bags can be folded over and closed with an ESD label or sticker to secure the bag. The open top design makes it suitable for quick-access storage needs or high-volume packing in static protected areas.
