Ed Volunteers at Local Hedgehog Charity

When he’s not at Bondline, Ed spends his weekends doing something a little unexpected – helping hedgehogs get back on their paws. His volunteer work with a small rescue in Shipley, West Yorkshire, recently introduced us to Sally, a prickly patient with a big personality.

Meet Sally the Hedgehog

Ed Shone, Sales Representative at Bondline, has been volunteering at a local hedgehog charity every weekend over the past month. In this photo, Ed is holding Sally, a hedgehog currently being treated for an infected ear. The rescue team is awaiting the results of an ear swab to determine the cause, but Sally is in safe hands while she recovers.

A Local Charity Making a Big Difference

The rescue centre Ed volunteers with is a small‑scale, self‑funding organisation committed to rehabilitating hedgehogs in need across the local area. From injuries and infections to underweight hoglets, they provide essential care that helps these beloved British garden visitors get back on their paws.

Their work relies entirely on donations, volunteers, and community support, which makes Ed’s weekend help all the more meaningful.
