With the cost-of-living crisis, many charities and communities in the UK are facing financial strain due to reduced donations and increased prices. To help support these charities and communities with the necessary funding they need, Bondline has kindly donated to their local community as well as sponsoring local clubs.
Supporting local communities and charities is very important to Bondline. Here are some amazing clubs, schools and charities which Bondline has sponsored and donated to over this last year.
Bondline continues to sponsor their local cricket club in Cricklade. Cricklade Cricket Club is a friendly family and community club, which is always looking for new members young and old. All money raised to Cricklade Cricket Club goes straight back into the club, supporting their junior and senior setup and bringing a great place to socialise and exercise to the town. Bondline’s board can be seen at the pitch – Mollie thinks it looks great!
Bondline sponsor their Warehouse Operative – Jack Danford at the Swindon Rugby Club. Jack is player of the 1st team at the Swindon Rugby Club and has been at the club for three years. He spends a lot of his spare time coaching the youth teams. Established in 1895, the Swindon RFC is run by volunteers and welcomes people of all abilities and levels of experience to play.
Bondline sponsor the 13th hole at their local golf club in Cirencester – Bondline are keen golfers! The golf club runs various team charity days raising valuable funds, the most recent being for Dementia UK.
In September last year, Chris Blizzard and Tom Peare participated in the DGH Vallejee 4th Annual Golf Cup in Cirencester. The golf charity event was a huge success with over 18 teams who had taken part, raising over £3,000 for disadvantaged children in Mauritius.
Recently, Bondline has donated to many charities and local schools and clubs to help support with necessary funding, particularly with the cost-of-living crisis.
Cricklade Thames Pre-School is a charity-run pre-school in Wiltshire that inspires children aged 2-5 to learn through play. They fully rely on fundraising activities to ensure the ongoing success of the pre-school. With recent fundraising, they have been able to provide new outdoor equipment and indoor furniture in the past year which has greatly improved their literacy areas.
In May, the pre-school held a jumble sale fundraising event in their local community. With a fantastic turnout and an incredible amount of generous donations, the pre-school was able to raise a whopping £900. Bondline’s donation will help provide the children with better support as well as help to enhance and improve the pre-school’s setting.
Bondline has donated to the raffle of Cricklade Youth Football Club. Established over thirty years ago, Cricklade Youth FC is dedicated to being an inclusive club for all children under 16 to enjoy sport, develop confidence and be a part of a team. All donations make the football club affordable and accessible for all children by keeping fees low as possible. They aim to support any families where paying for fees might be a barrier to their child taking part.
Recently in May, the club held a raffle fund-raising event with all proceedings going towards helping the club. Many local businesses, including Bondline, donated vouchers and prizes to the raffle. Bondline kindly donated a £50 Amazon voucher to the raffle prizes to support the club.
Bondline has donated to Drybrook Rugby Football Club (DRFC) Under 13s to help support the club in essential fundraising. All the money donated to the club is reinvested in supplying the local community with a top class venue to provide the provision of Rugby Union Football.
Unfortunately, rugby is becoming increasingly expensive and not all of the families on the team can afford the cost. With the help of Bondline’s donation as well as help from other businesses, the club can afford new equipment and apparel for the team, keep the clubhouse running, cater for all of their own and visiting teams and afford travel expenses to away games. The donations help the club provide the facilities and equipment that ensures they can keep delivering the high standard of coaching to all of their players and junior and mini rugby sections.
Bondline have also donated to local Prospect Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Care which are very close to Bondline’s heart.
Macmillan raise money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign for better cancer care as well as supporting the cancer workforce.
Since 1980, Prospect Hospice has provided the only dedicated end-of-life care service for people living across Northeast Wiltshire. In 2021, Prospect Hospice cared for and supported 1,928 patients and 504 carers and family members through a broad range of services developed to bring care, comfort, and confidence at life’s most difficult time.
Bondline are pleased to be able to support their local community and charities. Later in the year, we plan to offer further donations and sponsorships to help more people with the support they need.
