Spring has finally arrived and with it bringing hope, transformation and change! With the current affairs happening in the world and the devastating news of the Ukrainian war, we can only hope spring will bring a light at the end of the tunnel.
So far this year we’ve seen a positive shift in demand and production in the electronics manufacturing industry as the covid restrictions have now eased. Since Prime Minister Boris Johnson ended all covid restrictions in England, Bondline has seen a surge in demand. The electronics market seems to be booming with more people returning to work and productions.
The external sales team have been out visiting customers in full force, making March 2022 our best turnover month since moving to our larger premises in 2015.
Since the awful news of the Ukraine war, our supply chain remains strong with very high stock levels of ESD consumables. We are still seeing increases and fluctuations in costs of raw material and shipping of freight; with our strong supply chain we have worked hard to continue to bulk buy and keep stocks high to keep these costs to a minimum increase.
April 1st 2022 has seen the introduction to Plastic Packaging Tax, rest assured all of our ESD plastic bags contain over 30% of recycled material so our products are exempt. Please see our downloads page for more information on the Plastic Packaging Tax.
In other news, we have also welcomed Amanda Huggins to our distribution sales team ahead of Alison Carter’s retirement last year, Alison was with Bondline for nearly 30 years and we wish her a happy retirement. Amanda has very quickly become a key part of the Bondline sales team in the 4 months she has now taken over Alison’s role.
We are always researching new innovative products and conducting continuous research and development. This month, we have launched an exciting, new product onto our website – ESD Raised Access Floor Panels.
ESD Raised Floor Panels is an excellent, static dissipative flooring system compliant with BS IEC 61340-1-5 and BS EN 61340-5-1 Standards with raised access to safely incorporate mechanical and electrical services. Earlier this year, we sponsored our local cricket club – Cricklade Cricket Club. We are delighted to be able to support the club throughout 2021/2022 and we look forward to a great year ahead with them.
We are very grateful to be able to support our town and community in many ways, providing them with the vital funding they need. All money raised to Cricklade Cricket Club goes straight back into the club, supporting their junior and senior setup and bringing a great place to socialise and exercise to the town.
