Description
The C1160P Semi-Flush Heavy Duty ESD Cutters is a high precision cutter belonging to the extra large oval cutter family. This type of geometry provides excellent resistance, while the C1160P head dimensions increase its cutting capacity. The semi-flush cutting edge is suitable to perform robust cuts. The C1160P is equipped with an ESD Ergo-tek handle which allows an excellent grip, suitable to environments and to components susceptible to electrostatic discharge. The blades are hardened to 67HRC hardness.
The C1160P is excellent for cutting regular, soft and semi-hard metals. These types of cutters should only be used on flat surfaces where they can sit flush with the object being cut. Flush cutters provide an unbroken, even cut to the material for a clean design look.
A semi-flush cut leaves a pyramidal tip at the end of the wire. It is particularly suitable for standard jobs where the final shape does not play a significant role. Cutters with this cut are suitable for cutting soft wires.
